Synopsis: Jack Torrance, a struggling writer, agrees to act as caretaker for the Overlook Hotel in the mountains of Colorado while it is closed for the winter. He drives up with his wife Wendy and young son Danny, and they prepare for a few months of peace and solitude. Soon, however, Danny begins to have visions of the evil that lurks in the hotel, and Jack starts to become distracted...
